A huge project to build an entire sub-division of Amsterdam on a lake has been announced. In the first stage 500 homes will be built in the next three years. The homes will be built 40km away from the site and towed to their final destination. Around 17,500 houses are expected to be constructed in this way. The higher than average thermal performance of EPS led to it being selected to create an insulating membrane for the house.
