Second EPS Design Competition Launched
To further our campaign to inform the design world about the unique properties of EPS, the EPS Packaging Group launched a second EPS Design Competition at 100% Futures 2007; part of the world-renowned 100% Design exhibition that is held at Earls Court every September.
“Once again we will be looking for original product ideas that can be made from EPS,” explained Tony Pruchniewicz, Group Chairman. “This time we are very excited to be running the competition in partnership with 100% Futures — the organisers have generously provided a 9m2 stand at 100% Futures 2008 as the prize.”
The winning designer will be able to exhibit a prototype of their winning EPS design and their other design work on the stand, where it will be seen by the world’s design community who flock to 100% Design every year.
Alice Brown, 100% Futures, was delighted to be get involved: “The EPS Design Competition encourages designers to take a fresh look at a familiar material and it connects young designers with established manufacturers — both are key aims of 100% Futures.
“We were very impressed by the many exciting and innovative design concepts that were entered into the 2007 EPS Design Competition. I am personally looking forward to being one of the judges, seeing all the entries and helping to select one winner.”
