A revolutionary new alternative to the traditional wine cork has been invented by, Betacorque with the assistance of EPS Packaging Group members, Tuscarora and NOVA Chemicals.

The wine cork developed by Betacorque is moulded using a very high-density material and a unique expandable foam process that enables it to outstrip the performance of the familiar wine cork. Not only does it provide a higher quality seal, solving leakage problems and providing greater flexibility with shipping either upright or inverted, it looks just like a standard wine cork.

Its performance is a wine lover's dream. No annoying cork bits, no more traumas trying to re-seal the bottle and you can be 100 per cent sure that every bottle will open in perfect condition.

Tuscarora won the Bass Brewers, Best Technical Innovation Award at the Institute of Packaging Starpack 2001 Awards Ceremony for this innovative new product.
